One Tree Hill Allotments Society
Public Open Days
We have a varied number of gardening styles, from formal allotment
layouts to cottage style.
A permaculture plot is underway. There are ponds, beehives and from the
top grand views over South East London.
We are arranging openings of the site for the public this summer,
on this date:
Sunday 21st June 12 Noon to
6.00pm.
Apple pressing day 2009
We had a successful apple-pressing day on the allotments; we got through 4 wheelbarrow full of apples.
A lot of juice was produced, some of it lapped up by thirsty workers. Some of the remaining juice is now fermenting away and next spring we should have some cider.
A plot holder from a Sydenham Allotment site came along and videoed the event and has kindly posted it as:
Apple pressing
Ian White – Vice Chair.
