LAST SUNDAY BEFORE XMAS

BIRD BOX MAKING AFTERNOON

Firstly we had a successful bird box making afternoon, 8 of us wrestled with planks of wood and plans to create some fine examples of amateur DIY.

Boxes ranging from Blue Tit & Robins to larger birds such as Wood Peckers & Jackdaws and one box for a Tawny Owl. One new plotholder was really pleased with her bird box, as it was the first thing of that kind she has ever made!

We have some wood left over so we will be running a similar afternoon in the autumn.

WINTER EVENING GATHERING
A rather last minute WINTER EVENING GATHERING, was held on the evening of Sun 24th on Dennis’s plot. About a dozen brave plot holders braved a February evening with light rain to enjoy a Chilli and a Lentil soup courtesy of Dennis, Home made bread from Jayne, & jacket potatoes straight from the embers of a bonfire.
